Financial Aid Information Event

On Wednesday, January 12, the Northern Ozaukee School District Counseling Department will be hosting a Financial Aid Information Night for parents of college bound and tech school bound seniors.  Topics slated to be covered during the presentation include the Financial Aid Process, the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) Form and its worksheet, and the different types of aid available.  All seniors and/or parents of seniors who are looking to pay for college in the fall of 2011, are strongly encouraged to attend this informational event.  Colleges and universities will not formally provide financial aid packages to students until they have received the financial report that results from filling out the FAFSA.

The presentation will begin at 7:00 p.m. and will be held in the Ozaukee High School/Ozaukee Middle School Library as well as in Mrs. Goodman's Elluminate Room.  Click here to access.  Students and/or parents can choose to attend either the live presentation or the Elluminate session.  In addition, a recording of the presentation will be available for students and/or parents that are not able to attend.

The on-line FAFSA form can be submitted as of January 1, 2011.  Prior to making application, students will need to apply for and receive a pin number.  That number can be obtained at www.pin.ed.gov at any time.  Please note:  the Federal Application (FAFSA) website is www.fafsa.ed.gov not www.fafsa.com.  The government site is free, the commercial site is not.  You do not have to pay to have your form processed!
